Producing one eye drawing every year for the last 10 years - this work experiments with the fun and naive juxtaposition of the subject of eyes. Using the eye subject as a measure of technique and tradition, the work considers detail and the scope of hyperrealism. Upholding the tradition of an eye drawing each year, the works become a productive marker of both time and technique with pencil drawing. Exploring a more playful side, Gummy Bear and Eye also gives a wink to a surrealist theme.
