The first of the drawings completed in a new studio, drawing 'Figure in Frame' is filled with joy and excitement. There is an astute balance between the harshness of the frame interacting with the softness of flesh. The work is the first of an exploration of shapes in the compositions that investigate the clarity of a distinct line to draw the viewer in. Speaking to the feeling of being ’boxed-in’ and the monochromatic division between right and wrong. The bound figure is resting on this frame, casually disregarding it - the horns making a point of breaking free.
